Go to Don's Fish Camps
Located off Hwy 80 in San Marcos, TX- Don's Fish Camp is a great place for tubing, camping, fishing and hanging out along the banks of the San Marcos River. Don offers tube rentals, camping grounds, river shuttle service, volleyball courts, and a great place to relax and people watch in the summer. Don is known as a San Marcos Legend.

Night Float at Texas Tubes
Visit Texas State Tubes, the newest tubing and shuttle service
company in town located just outside of San Marcos with
convenient & secure paid parking along Old Bastrop Highway in
Martindale. Texas Tubes offers services to large groups and also
offers night floating.
Sewell Park, known to locals as "Bikini Hill," is another great place to relax by the river and catch an amazing tan in the warm summer months. Take a walk in the park and you will probably run into "Frisbee Dan," another well know San Marcos icon.

River Kayaking or Canoeing
Take a Kayaking adventure or watch the launch of the
Annual Texas Water Safari on the second Saturday of June
each year. The Texas Water Safari is a 260 mile race from
San Marcos to the Texas Coast. Kayaking rentals can be found
by visiting Austin Canoe and Kayak or Power Olympic Center.
Take the "Around the World" challenge
The Taproom is famous for the "Around the World" card; offering
42 beers on tap and 60 bottled beers from around the world.
Complete the challenge by trying all of the beers and receive a
t-shirt and personal wall plaque bearing your name. Be sure not
to attempt the challenge on an empty stomach- A Queso

The rapidly growing San Marcos Airport is home to the
Commemorative Air Force Museum. Visit a WWII Artifact Exhibit
